YouTube is introducing an AI-powered dubbing tool to facilitate video dubbing in various languages. At VidCon, YouTube announced its collaboration with Google's Area 120 incubator's AI-powered dubbing service called 'Aloud'. The tool transcribes videos, enabling creators to review and edit the transcription. It then translates and generates the dub. While currently available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, YouTube plans to add more languages. YouTube is also working on improving the translated audio tracks to sound like the original creator's voice with better expression and lip sync, although these features are expected to be released next year. In February, YouTube had already unveiled support for multi-language audio tracks.
