LinkedIn is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its platform, allowing recruiters to search for job candidates using natural language queries. The Microsoft-owned professional networking site is leveraging OpenAI's technology to enable this feature. Instead of relying on data filters and keywords, recruiters can now ask questions in plain language, and the AI system will respond with relevant queries. This aims to broaden the pool of potential candidates by focusing on skills rather than specific job titles or educational backgrounds. LinkedIn is also introducing AI tools for sales professionals and an AI-powered marketing campaign creator for business-to-business products and services on its platform. These enhancements, which won't come with additional charges, aim to augment users' job functions with AI assistance.
