Baidu's CEO, Robin Li, announced at an event in Beijing that China has unveiled more than 70 large artificial intelligence language models, each with over 1 billion parameters. This move follows regulatory approval for mass-market releases of AI chatbots by various Chinese companies, including SenseTime, Baichuan Intelligent Technology, Zhipu AI, and MiniMax. Li highlighted the advancements in Baidu's AI chatbot, Ernie 3.5, boasting twice the processing speed and 50% improved efficiency compared to its predecessor. Baidu also plans to launch a new version soon.
